The honest version
Bali is the rare destination that works for both an incentive programme and a conference of a thousand people, because Nusa Dua concentrates large resorts and a convention centre in one secured enclave with short transfers between them.
Outside that enclave, traffic and distance become the constraint quickly. A programme that spreads across the island spends its time in vehicles.
Operating notes
What actually decides whether Bali works for you.
Airlift, hotel capacity, ground and season — in that order, and before anyone falls in love with a photograph.
- 01Access and airlift
- Ngurah Rai (DPS) has strong regional and increasing long-haul service, with visa on arrival for many nationalities.
- 02Hotels and capacity
- Large resort inventory in Nusa Dua with real conference capability; boutique inventory elsewhere on the island.
- 03Ground and distance
- Short and easy within Nusa Dua. Anywhere else, traffic is severe and journey times are unpredictable — plan around it rather than through it.
- 04Season and calendar
- April to October is drier and busier. Nyepi, the day of silence, closes the entire island including the airport — check the date before anything else.

Where Bali events happen
- Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center
- Bali International Convention Centre
- Nusa Dua resort ballrooms
- Uluwatu and Jimbaran cliff venues

Capacity and technical specifications change with refurbishment. We confirm current specification at sourcing rather than quoting a brochure.
Constraints
What we check before recommending it
- Nyepi closes the airport and every venue for a full day
- Traffic outside Nusa Dua is genuinely disruptive
- Cliff and beach venues need a serious wet-weather alternative
- Ceremony days can close roads at short notice
