The honest version
Vietnam has quietly become one of the best-value incentive destinations in Asia, and Ho Chi Minh City is the natural arrival point. Hotel quality has moved a long way, the food is a programme in itself, and the cost per head lands well below Thailand or Malaysia for comparable standards.
It also works for manufacturing and supply-chain conferences, because that is what much of the region is now doing. The operational catch is the airport: Tan Son Nhat is congested and sits inside the city, so arrival and departure waves need real planning until Long Thanh opens.

- Traffic is dense and motorbike-dominated. Coach movements need generous allowances, and arrival transfers should be waved rather than batched.

- December to April is dry and comfortable. The wet season from May to November brings heavy afternoon rain, which matters for any outdoor evening.
