The honest version
Frankfurt exists for this. Messe Frankfurt is among the largest exhibition grounds anywhere, the airport is a global freight and passenger hub, and rail connects the fairground to most of Germany within a few hours.
For exhibitors it is the most efficient large show environment in Europe. For conferences it is functional rather than seductive, which for a finance or industrial audience is usually the right trade.
Operating notes
What actually decides whether Frankfurt works for you.
Airlift, hotel capacity, ground and season — in that order, and before anyone falls in love with a photograph.
- 01Access and airlift
- Frankfurt (FRA) is a top-tier global hub for both passengers and air freight, with a long-distance rail station on site.
- 02Hotels and capacity
- Substantial, but major fair weeks fill the entire Rhine-Main region and rates rise very sharply.
- 03Ground and distance
- Efficient. Rail to the fairground, good road access and reliable coach operators.
- 04Season and calendar
- Driven entirely by the fair calendar. Outside major fairs the city is easy and good value.

Constraints
What we check before recommending it
- Major fair weeks fill hotels across the whole region
- Stand build regulations and approval deadlines are strictly enforced
- Union and working-time rules affect overnight build
- Book accommodation before you book anything else in a fair week
