If the event is large, Indian and matters, Hyderabad is usually the right answer. HICC is the country’s strongest purpose-built convention centre — a genuinely pillar-less hall seating around six thousand, with the Novotel attached and HITEX next door for exhibition floor. Nothing else in India makes a large plenary this straightforward.
It is also the natural home for pharmaceutical and life sciences programmes. Genome Valley and the surrounding manufacturing base mean the delegates, the sponsors and the site-visit content are all local. Add Falaknuma Palace for the gala and the programme writes itself.

Access and airlift
Rajiv Gandhi International (HYD) is among the better-run airports in India, with good domestic coverage and useful Gulf, South East Asian and European connections. Roughly thirty-five minutes to HICC on the expressway.
Hotels and capacity
Strong five-star stock concentrated near HITEC City and the convention complex, so a large block can sit within walking or a five-minute transfer of the plenary.
Ground and distance
Materially easier than Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru. The airport expressway works, and the convention cluster keeps most movements short.
Season and calendar
October to March. April to June is very hot and the monsoon runs June to September.
