Mexico CityLatin America’s largest corporate market, at two thousand two hundred metres

Real convention capacity and the deepest corporate audience in the region — with an altitude that quietly changes your delegates, your catering and your rigging.

The honest version

Mexico City is where a Latin American programme reaches the most people for the least travel. Centro Citibanamex and Expo Santa Fe carry genuine convention and exhibition scale, the domestic corporate market is enormous, and the manufacturing and automotive base across the Bajío makes it a natural host for industrial events.

The altitude is the fact everyone forgets. At 2,240 metres delegates tire faster, alcohol lands harder, sessions need shorter blocks and more breaks, and some equipment derates. It is not dangerous, it is just real, and a programme built without allowing for it produces a room that fades after lunch on day one.

Best suited to

Operating notes

What actually decides whether Mexico City works for you.

Airlift, hotel capacity, ground and season — in that order, and before anyone falls in love with a photograph.

01

Access and airlift

Benito Juárez (MEX) is congested but well connected across the Americas, with growing European and Asian service. Felipe Ángeles (NLU) takes some pressure off but sits well outside the city.

02

Hotels and capacity

Excellent and good value, concentrated in Polanco, Reforma and Santa Fe. Pick the district that matches the venue — moving delegates between them costs an hour each way.

03

Ground and distance

Traffic is heavy and unpredictable. Keep the hotel and the venue in the same district, plan waves rather than convoys, and never put a hard stage call behind a cross-city transfer.

04

Season and calendar

March to May and October to November. The rainy season from June to September brings reliable late-afternoon downpours that matter for outdoor content.
