Access and airlift
JFK, Newark and LaGuardia between them cover the world. ESTA or a visa is required depending on nationality and should be started early.

Extensive but expensive; large blocks require early commitment and firm attrition terms.
Ground and distance
Manhattan traffic and loading restrictions are severe. Coach movements need permits, planned stopping and generous time.

September to November and April to June are busiest. Major weeks such as the UN General Assembly distort the whole city.
