One event, six cities

Roadshows

The same programme performed in several cities in a short window — a repeatable kit, a travelling core team and one standard from city one to city six.

40 – 400 per city3 – 12 citiesCustomers, prospects, partners, investors, field teams

A roadshow is one event performed several times, and the risk is drift. By city four the deck has changed, the room set is different, the local supplier has improvised the catering and nobody can say what city three cost.

We build a kit and a travelling core team who carry it, brief local crews against the same written specification, and report per city and in total so you can see which markets earned their place on next year’s route.

Roadshows — what the format involves
40 – 400 per city · 3 – 12 citiesOne event, six cities

Sequence around the build, not the map

Load-out times, freight transit, crew rest and flight schedules decide the route. A three-hour flight can be less workable than a six-hour drive if the kit has to arrive before the crew.

Design for the smallest room

The kit has to fit every venue on the route, which means designing for the tightest ceiling, the narrowest door and the least power — then scaling up where the room allows.

Carnets and crew permits

Multi-country roadshows fail at customs more often than at the venue. Carnets for the kit, work permits for crew where installation requires them, and brokerage in each market.

Compare the cities honestly

Registrations, attendance, no-show rate, cost per attendee and lead quality by city. That comparison usually changes next year’s route.

Where it goes wrong

What we look for first on this format.

Every format has a small set of recurring failures. None of them are mysterious; they are just the things that get planned last and matter most.

01Crew fatigue after the fourth consecutive city Watch
02A venue on the route that cannot take the kit Watch
03Local catering improvising a different standard each city Watch
04Registration data collected differently in each market Watch

What you should get out of it

  • City six looking like city one
  • Kit delivered and cleared in every market
  • Consistent registration and reporting
  • A per-city comparison worth acting on
