Access and airlift
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International (BOM) connects widely across the Gulf, Asia, Europe and North America, with Navi Mumbai adding capacity.
Humberto Delgado (LIS) has strong European coverage plus Americas and Africa links; the airport is unusually close to the city.
Hotels
Deep five-star inventory concentrated in BKC, Lower Parel, Andheri and South Mumbai.
Good quality and value, but capacity is the constraint in peak weeks.
Ground
Traffic is severe and unpredictable. Cluster the programme geographically; airport-to-South-Mumbai at the wrong hour is a very long transfer.
Short transfers and an easy city to move around. Hills and narrow old-town streets restrict coach access in places.
Season
October to March is the working season. The monsoon from June to September is genuinely disruptive to outdoor plans and travel.
April to June and September to October are best. Major congress weeks remove hotel availability entirely.
