HKG is a major international hub with strong cargo capability, and connects onward to mainland China by rail, road and ferry.
Humberto Delgado (LIS) has strong European coverage plus Americas and Africa links; the airport is unusually close to the city.
Hotels
High-quality inventory in Central, Wan Chai and Kowloon, much of it adjacent to the convention centre.
Good quality and value, but capacity is the constraint in peak weeks.
Ground
Excellent rail and metro, short distances, and manageable coach movements. The airport express is genuinely useful for groups.
Short transfers and an easy city to move around. Hills and narrow old-town streets restrict coach access in places.
Season
October to December is the best weather and the busiest exhibition period. Summer is hot and humid with a typhoon risk.
April to June and September to October are best. Major congress weeks remove hotel availability entirely.
